"Everyone of us gets through the tough times because somebody is there, standing in the gap to close it for us." ~ Oprah Winfrey
At Good Food Namibia, we
believe now is the time for Namibians to pull together to overcome these
challenging times. It is with this in mind that we have launched an initiative
to support the poorest of the poor on their journey to self-sustainability.
In partnership with Shalom
Farm, Cycles Swakopmund, and Ms Ndolovo we started a food parcel initiative
that will equip destitute households in the Erongo region with the means to
start cultivating their own vegetables. A starter pack of 12 spinach seedlings,
fertilizer, and combined with masks and soap will be handed out to these
households. The hand-over will be combined with a training session on how to
plant and cultivate the seedlings. Households in need will be identified in
conjunction with the Erongo Regional Council.
The parcels will be delivered
in partnership with Swakopmund Cycles, who will be taking the necessary
government required COVID-19 precautions.
The
following packages can be sponsored:
- 1- 5 households : N$ 110.00
per household
- More than 5 households : N$ 100.00 per household
Ad hoc donations will also be welcomed. Payment can be made to the following bank account with reference 'GoodFood parcels': Good Food Namibia is an initiative driven by Conference Link Namibia Food Namibia and Events Link Africa
